During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kom and Nui saw Thailand, an agricultural nation, face food shortages and job losses. Determined to address this, they founded Wongphai in 2021 to promote bamboo cultivation as a sustainable solution.
As bamboo farming scaled, the challenge of managing waste led them to biochar—a revolutionary way to restore soil and reduce carbon emissions. Today, Wongphai transforms agricultural waste into opportunity, advancing sustainable farming and climate action for a better future.
